The use of helium filled soap bubbles (HFSB) is an old technique developed for the visualization of aerodynamic flows. The presence of helium inside the bubbles allows to have bubbles of the same density as air, which leads to a double effect: allowing the bubbles to follow the flow reliably; neutralizing the effects of gravity and keeping the bubbles in suspension for a long time. During a semester project, an instrument for the production of HFSB (Sage Action Inc.) was implemented, and a preliminary study of its use was made. The diploma work aims to continue this development in order to understand the areas of use of HFSBs.
