The book compiles the effect of Agriculture Crop Residue Burning (ACRB) on the ambient air by measuring the concentration levels of different size particulate matter of size less than 2.5 and 10 µm (PM2.5 and PM10) etc. and on respiratory system of human health by measuring their Pulmonary Function Tests (PFTs). First and second chapter include brief introduction and literature review of the work done in the area of exposure studies and its impact on human health. Third chapter comprises of methodology adopted to study the exposure of PM on healthy human subjects due to ACRB, which includes different techniques, methods and instrumentation along with the selection of subjects and sites, etc. Forth chapter compiles the results and discussion part. In the Fifth chapter, Field Crop Residue Burning and Pulmonary Function Model (FCRBPFM) is designed, developed and tested to predict the value of PFTs. In the final chapter, conclusion and future perspective are mentioned. Proposed methodology in this book can be further used in other type of exposures studies with proper sampling Plan and Strategies & develop a model that could be used as an effective tool for risk assessment.
