The particulate material in the atmosphere is commonly referred to as "aerosol", despite this definition corresponding more correctly to the mixture of particles and droplets which are dispersed within the gas. The suspended particles have got important influence on the physicochemical properties of the atmosphere, affecting the tropospheric chemistry, the climate and humans' health. The total result of the immediate effect is believed to be negative for the energy balance of Earth, whereas the result of the indirect influence represents, up until today, the biggest uncertainty in the estimate of the human influence on the climate (IPCC, 2011) and occurs from the interaction between particles and clouds. It is believed that the negative outcome on the energy balance of earth, which is connected with the direct and the indirect influence of particle, is of the same level as the estimated positive outcome that results from the greenhouse effect gases.
