The present work consists of a case study conducted at the Federal Institute of Rondônia - Vilhena campus, through primarily a research of bibliographic and documentary nature. Which had as main objective to investigate possible causes that have led to the school dropout in this educational institution, specifically of students belonging to affirmative action/racial and social quotas in the category AF/PPI-Affirmative Actions Black, Brown and Indigenous entering the year 2016. The documentary research conducted revealed the high rates of dropped out students and the main reasons that led them to drop out. It was also sought, in this study, to propose actions to reduce this dropout, such as the implementation of a training course for teachers with a focus on intermulticulturalism, capable of promoting the heterogeneous vision that enables the necessary interrelationships for school success.
