Africanism has been transformed through its contact with Christianity. There is a need to revive the African way of life as a way of safeguarding the African heritage. Africans have to be wary in their acceptance of the Christian religion taking into account how it was reinforced in Africa. Christianity should not overshadow Africanism and the Africans should be free to practice their African religion without fear of judgement from other religions. Governments in Africa should go out of their way in protecting the African culture as this is an important aspect of any community
