The content of this book has been structured in two sections: the first, dedicated to the theoretical approach to literary competence, the different types of reading, in general terms, and an important framework of analysis of the links between history and literature. In this segment, reflections are made from current perspectives that offer a vision of the state of debate of approaches that are currently being generated in this area. The second part proposes actions for didactic enrichment by approaching the analysis of works of different literary genres. They can be taken as models or starting points as long as teachers do not lose sight of the particularities of the group of students. The works used can be found in the current syllabuses.
