There is a lack of gender perspective that influences the fact that certain measures, programmes or interventions do not obtain the expected effectiveness in both groups equally, and therefore, ageing is not one hundred percent successful. This document seeks to understand these differences, how many women live and survive in rural areas characterised mainly by alack of social and economic resources; and above all, whether there are equal opportunities for both sexes to age actively.

Graduate in Sociology and researcher-collaborator of the ENCAGE-CM Project. Specialised in issues related to active ageing, rurality and the elderly. I am currently a student of Higher Degree in Social Integration at a distance with the aim of gaining more knowledge and specialisation at a social level with vulnerable groups.
