Daniel Dickinson is the author of "Escape from Ogre Island" and ?Fallen Iron? published by Kyanite Publishing, in the annual Kyanite Press Journal. He also self-published the short story horror book, ?Don't Close Your Eyes: Two Thrilling Tales of Terror?. His writing is based upon a lifetime of creating a realistic realm in which his characters come to life, giving the reader the opportunity to become a part of that world. His hobbies include photography, world travel, and camping with his grandchildren. He lives in Arizona with his family. Daniel Dickinson joined a growing family of authors when a long-time friend of his, directed his stubborn attention to their submissions. Inspired to write a pirate story while on a cruise at the time, he began to write his first short story "Escape from Ogre Island", which he submitted to Kyanite Publishing's Kyanite Press Journal of Speculative Fiction, in Oct of 2019.
