Autorenporträt

Subhashree Subhasmita Mishra is a voice of women in contemporary Odia poetry. She naively questions society and the rituals which dishonour women; often seen as revolutionary rhythm in the Odia poetry world. She fires herself up for the pretence ideology of a society dominated by male. Her previous books Aranya, Agnika, Garbhagni holds her signature fire. Through a voice of empowerment for women she has been creating ripples in the patriarchal society and wants the voice of women to be heard and honoured. She is fighting against social evil and male dominance and hopes for a reformed society where every woman would live with dignity.
