Autorenporträt
Susana Rosique was born in San Sebastian (Guipúzcoa, Spain), a place where she developed her passion for the sea, forests, and illustrated books. After completing her degree in Psychology, she moved to Madrid, where she participated in several painting exhibitions of the Youth Art Network of the Community of Madrid. After collaborating with Hacer Familia magazine (Editorial Palabra), she began illustrating children's stories. She has an extensive career that has taken her to various Spanish and foreign publishers, exploring many genres. Her technique ranges from traditional to digital, including mixed media techniques. She also sculpts beautiful miniature characters from fairy tales, both her creations and those of other authors. Her outstanding work has been recognized, awarded, and selected multiple times by organizations and foundations such as the Latino Book Awards (Los Angeles, USA), Cuatrogatos Foundation (Miami, USA), Oepli (Spain), and included in the international exhibition of illustrators at the Children's Reading Festival in Sharjah (United Arab Emirates), among others. Despite her extensive experience, her work embodies expressiveness, humor, tenderness, and a positive message.
