The objectives were to determine the efficiency (E) and productivity (P) in physical (F), economic (E) and social (S) terms of the water (A) used in the commercial production of the red pomegranate (Punica granatum L.) crop and to contrast it with the commercial production of apple (Malus domestica) in Chihuahua in 2020. Mathematical equations of water efficiency and productivity from Ríos et al. (2015, 2018) were used for an individual crop as well as at the aggregate level for both crops; the equations were fed with production data at the commercial level from SIAP, 2020 and costs per hectare from FIRA, 2020.
