Agriculture is the basic occupation of human beings which provides food and other needs. There is rapid growth of industry and service sector in modern India. But agriculture is still an important economic activity. The rural economy is still based on agriculture. But the process of agricultural growth has not been studied properly in most of the rural areas. The present study is an attempt to explore the issues of the imbalance allocation of resources basic infrastructure, uneven rainfall and its effect on the agriculture product. Therefore the present treatise is a modest attempt to study a spatio-temporal analysis of agricultural landuse and productivity in Baramati Tahsil.The farmer s innovative ideas and availability of capital for better landuse resulted into rational landuse. With considering one industry at the center may come out with typical landuse pattern in the study area. Such study may attract the attentions of planners, agriculturists, farmers and administrators to look into this sector by planning rationally for its proper development of agriculture and yield. Thus, there is ample scope for research, exploration, expansion and intensification.
