Present research sought to analyze public and private sector extension methods, linkages development, collaboration, strengths, weaknesses and constraints to technology transfer in Balochistan province of Pakistan. Five districts, one from each ecological zone, were selected purposively: Kech, Lasbela, Mastung, Sibi and Loralai. A sample of 375 farmer respondents and one hundred thirty (130) public and private Extension Field Staff (EFS) was taken using systematic sampling procedure. Two detailed and comprehensive questionnaires; one for farmers and one for extension field staff were used for measuring the effectiveness of extension activities performed by public and private sector extension field staff. Null hypotheses were also tested to know the differences in the perception of the respondents. The response rate was 82.67% and 86.15% for farmers and public and private extension field staff respectively. The study recommended that public extension field staff should visit the farmer's farm and home regularly. Result demonstration, campaign and FFS should be organized at union council level as these methods were perceived effective.
