Abbas Shahdi Kumleh è nato a Langroud nel 1967. Ha conseguito il dottorato di ricerca in Biologia ambientale del suolo presso l'Università di Delhi. Il suo luogo di nascita, una regione panoramica per la coltivazione del riso e del tè, e la visita di luoghi simili nei Paesi CWA lo hanno ispirato a esplorare il potenziale agro-ecoturistico della regione CWA per migliorare l'economia rurale e la sostenibilità ambientale.
