Autorenporträt
Dr. Albert Atkins is an Adjunct Professor of Aeronautics with Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, College of Career education, and Adjunct Instructor of Business for the University of Phoenix. He holds several Federal Aviation Administration licenses including Airframe & Powerplant technician, Advanced Ground Instructor, Commercial Pilot, Flight Instructor with Instrument and Multiengine ratings. His education was obtained from the Argentinean Air Force (Aeronautics Technician), Pasadena City College, (Associate Degree Mechanical Design), National University (Bachelor's degree in Aviation Maintenance Management), (Masters in Education), (Masters in International Business), and Southern California University for Professional Studies, (Doctor in Engineering and Technology Management). Dr. Atkins has twenty years experience in the aviation field, ten of which have been in aviation education field. He held several positions as Airframe inspector trainee under FAR's Part 121, FBO Manager, Human Resources Manager, Pilot Instructor and Maintenance Instructor under FAR's Part 141. He completed several courses in CRM (Cockpit Resource Management) with Flight Safety International and American Airlines. Besides writing articles for military magazines and encyclopedias (including his own on-line military history magazine), Dr. Atkins is member of the B-52 Association, Royal Air Force Museum, SAC Museum (former Strategic Air Command Society) and Aircraft Pilots and Aircraft Association.
