Akizuki was the lead ship of her class of destroyers in the Japanese Imperial Navy considered by many to be among the best Japanese warships of that type in service during World War II. Those longrange vessels were fast, heavily armed and featured surprisingly good electronics (at least by Japanese standards of the time). At the age of fifteen, inspired by a TV program "The Sea", Mariusz Motyka took interest in building cardboard models of warships. Suddenly, ten years had passed and the passion for cardboard models evolved into creation of 3D graphics. Mariusz's other interests include audio equipment and cycling, which he pursues as an amateur road racer. He is a happily married father of two.
