Literary translation into Arabic has remained interminably an "ethnocentric" translation, both in its economy and in its enthusiasm. In al Fadîla of al-Manfaloûti, it is an "arabized" version of Bernardin de Saint-Pierre's Paul and Virginia. We can note that from the first reading of this translation, something is missing; a sufficiently tense form, due to a difference of system and language.
