Britain, 500 A.D. The Roman Empire has fallen, and invading Anglo-Saxons have pushed the natives to the brink. As tribes vie for petty kingdoms and civilizations battle to control Britain's destiny, a stranger washes up on a riverbank, missing most of his memory and marooned in a land he does not know. Over the decades, Kieran, as he calls himself, navigates the complex patchwork of societies in a struggle to survive and reclaim his identity. His past contains a secret that can alter the balance of power, and once uncovered it sets Kieran on a nearly impossible mission that will make him immortal if it succeeds... or leave Britain in ruins if he fails. Based on modern research, ancient lore, and pure invention, Alban Fire combines the historical with the fantastical to tell an adventure of the human spirit - a story that explores the limits of human endurance, and the redemption to be found beyond.
