Alberto Saavedra Muñoz (born 29 October 1981 in Oviedo, Asturias) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Caudal Deportivo in the Spanish third division, as a central defender. Saavedra's career began when he signed a professional contract with local Real Oviedo, making his first first-team appearance in 2002. He never appeared in any first division matches with the side, and moved to CD Numancia in 2003 04. The Soria outfit promoted, but he did not appear one single minute during the (half)campaign. In January 2004, Saavedra moved to The Netherlands, signing a deal with Eredivisie participants ADO Den Haag, and quickly become a first team regular. In 2007, he returned to his country, first with UD Vecindario then Ontinyent CF (both in level three).
