This collection of paintings, drawings, sketches, and prints is the companion volume to Aldo Rossi: Architecture 1981 - 1991. Although the previous book did contain a large number of drawings and sketches, the intent was to show those images as part of the architectural creative process. According to Rossi, the most important moment in the creation of architecture is the birth of the idea.
