Autorenporträt
Tina Kuek is a human rights advocate with experience working with refugees, asylum seekers and migrants at non-profit organisations and at the United Nations. Tina also has personal experience having fled from war-torn South Sudan at two months old. Her family moved to Nigeria and Kenya, before settling in Australia. The story in Alek's New School is inspired by her real-life experiences. She has dedicated this book to her mother, Elizabeth Alek Majok.
