Esther Buckley Sutherland was born and raised in Scotland. Her family immigrated to America when she was a teenager. In her writings and her love of nature, she brings into play her travel experiences and memories of her Scottish heritage. Georjean Maxwell, a resident of New Jersey, illustrates whimsical cards, and paints murals for children's bedrooms. This is her fourth illustrated children's book.
