'Alfred Appreciates Arithmetic' is designed to be an Educational Picture Book about all the letters of the Alphabet. Throughout the book, each letter is represented with an alliteration sentence about math terms, hence the title, 'Alfred Appreciates Arithmetic'. Basically, each sentence starts with an action followed by one or more math terms/concepts.
