We had all participated in identifying what pieces of ourselves and our past we wanted to bring with us, but we never considered boredom. The older crew members had experienced bouts of boredom in their lives, but Jeff and Kim's daughter Alesha and her husband were too young, and their lives were too expanding to have anything close to the boredom they were feeling at the moment.

I am a Vietnam veteran, a retired computer consultant from small town Illinois and a former Advisory Programmer with a subsidiary of IBM in Silicon Valley. I was born and raised in Long Beach, California, and educated in California, I attended several colleges in California and received a BS degree in accounting. I was a CPA in California for a few years and worked in public accounting for 4 years in Los Angeles, Newport Beach and Chicago. I also had stints as assistant Controller and Controller for divisions of major U.S. corporations. I spent the last 30 years working as a computer consultant in Northwest Illinois and retired at age 72.
