Born in Lisbon, Pedro earned a degree in Earth Sciences, and later studied Science Illustration at the University of California, Santa Cruz and at the Cornell Lab of Ornithology. As a child, Pedro wanted to be a condor when he grew up. Having failed at that, he settled for becoming a wildlife illustrator. He loves watching birds, drawing birds, and going places to see birds-his pretext to explore the natural world and an endless source of amazement and discovery. Pedro lives in Morocco.
