The Coronavirus A.K.A (COVID-19) has and is still currently taking the lives of many in unprecedented numbers. This pandemic was a sudden disruption in the lives of children worldwide and adjusting to this new norm was no easy task. "All Around The World" is a warm, heartfelt and beautifully written book for children. Regardless of your age, race, occupation, gender, education, financial status, social hierarchy or internet influence, we're all fighting against the spread of COVID-19. This is a thank you book dedicated to everyone everywhere whether your role in fighting against the Coronavirus is on a small scale or you're on the frontlines we are united as one. All Around The World was written to serve as a teaching tool to help parents and teachers open up a discussion with your children about COVID-19. "What is the Coronavirus?" "What you can do to stay safe and stop the spread?" "How can you help cheer up and give hope to people who are sick or have lost a loved one?" I believe that its vital for children to understand we are all connected and that they are apart of something bigger. It is our job as parents and educators to empower children with truth, equip them with knowledge and expand their scope in the way they view the world. Children need to know that they are essential parts of a grand spectrum. Their contributions and gifts to the world matter and is greatly appreciated. My goal with this book is to answer common questions relating to COVID-19, address any concerns and ease anxiety children may be experiencing as a result of COVID-19. In the words of the famous poet, Maya Angelou "Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud." - Tutto Andra Bene!
Autorenporträt
Ya'Sha Dagner is a upcoming American author who currently resides in Virginia. She is set to release her first children's book titled "All Around The World." Born and raised in the festive city of New Orleans she was influenced by a Gumbo pot of French, American, Spanish, African and Native American cultures. Ya'Sha has many fond memories of childhood, specifically the majestic scenery of Adubon Park, the unforgettable steamboat rides aboard the Mississippi Queen, world famous Mardi Gras carnival, the delectable "Crème De La Crème" handmade beignets at Café Du Monde, sweet sugar cane stalks from the Riverwalk French Market and high spirited Indians second lining to live brass bands. However, writing has always been her first love. At the young tender age of seven she won first place in a poetry contest held by her school with a poem she wrote titled "Raindrops" Before deciding to become a published children's book author, she studied Early Childhood Development at John Tyler Community College in Chester Virginia. While attending John Tyler she had the pleasure of meeting a professor named Suzanne Cousins who encouraged her to become a published author after reading through several creative writing projects written by the now aspiring author. Ya'Sha also worked as a Preschool teacher for Chester Child Development Center and she learned the art of teaching and storytelling by attending various workshops under the guidance of a very gifted director name Jeanette McNamara. Chester Child Development Center is where she blossomed and discovered her love for children, teaching and storytelling. Storytime was a highly anticipated part of the day as children flocked over to the rug to listen to her read. Ya'Sha begin introducing self written stories during storytime and they became instant favorites. After observing how well received her stories were with her class. She decided to take her writing serious and pursue a career as an author. The rest is history!
