Dr. Richard D. Prim was born in Indianapolis, Indiana, on February 14, 1954. He has been preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ for over 40 years and was privileged to lead Kansas City Community Church in Kansas City, Kansas, as pastor for three decades. He is a passionate worshipper and a gifted preacher who leverages cutting-edge technology to help people get into the word and the word into people. Dr. Prim graduated Summa cum Laude from Indiana Christian University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science degree. He was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 1982. Later, he earned his Master's Degree from Southern California School of Ministries in May 1996 and his Doctor of Ministries Degree from the same school in May 1998. He pastored the Kansas City Community Church for 30 years. Dr. Prim has been very active in the community, serving on several boards and committees, including the Wyandotte County United Way Faith Council Chairman. The Faith Council functions in an advisory capacity to bridge the gap between the United Way and the Faith Community to maximize the delivery of social services in Wyandotte County. Before his tenure at Kansas City Community Church, Dr. Prim served as Associate Pastor in Administrative Affairs at the Devonridge Church of God in Indianapolis, as Minister of Music for the First Church of God in Lenoir, N.C., and worked with churches throughout Texas. He is happily married to Carolyn F. Prim and has five children, a host of grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Whenever Carolyn walks into a room, her infectious positive energy and warmth instantly make others feel loved and valued. She has a unique ability to make everyone around her feel meaningful and appreciated. It's no wonder why she has become such an integral part of my life. Carolyn is an inspiring and resilient person who encourages others to face challenges with confidence. Her presence brings love and happiness to each day. I recommend reading Chapter 7 as it will leave a positive impact on your life. She has a heart of gold, and meeting her was a blessing. I am forever grateful for her.
