Autorenporträt

Benny Marshall (1919-1969) was a ten-time winner of the Alabama Sportswriter of the Year from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. He is widely considered the top sports writer in Alabama newspaper history. Wendell Givens (1922-2006) has had a long career in journalism and is retired as an editor from The Birmingham News. He edited or authored several books on sports, including Ninety-Nine Iron: The Season Sewanee Won Five Games in Six Days.
