Images of America: Along the Wekiva River is a collaboration of Central Florida historian Jim Robison and creative nonfiction writer and filmmaker Bill Belleville to carry on the mission of the Friends of the Wekiva River, Inc. FOWR, a nonprofit organization, has championed the protection of the Wekiva since the early 1980s and shares in the royalties and other benefits from book sales. Presenting 200 images of people, artifacts, and places by the river system, Along the Wekiva River brings history to life and chronicles major events in the river's heritage.
