Julie Scholfield was born in Stockton, California and fell in love with marine animals growing up near the Pacific Ocean. She currently lives in Northern Colorado. Julie loves to read fantasy novels, paint, and play with her kids. Her first fantasy novel, Awakened was released on October 14th, 2014, the first of the series called Otherworld Origins. Altered, the second book in the series, was released on December 20, 2016. She is currently working on Ascended, the third book in the series.
