JC was born and raised in Oregon. His vivid imagination and love of books and video games kept him entertained throughout his childhood. After serving a two-year mission in Toronto, Canada, for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, he attended BYU. There, he met his wife, who promptly graduated and moved them to the Midwest. After getting a Bachelors Degree in Electronics Engineering Technology, and becoming a certified massage therapist, he finally published his first book. He and his family now live in western Idaho, where he enjoys gardening, writing, and tabletop game design.
