The book has five chapters. It includes review of related literature, research methodology, analysis, major findings, conclusion and recommendations. The implementation of Alternative Basic Education program is not as effective as it is expected. Thus, an assessment is made and policy implications are given for the proper implementation of the program. Non formal Basic education is an effective strategy to local development needs because of its flexibility and adaptability. The success of achieving universal participation of primary education is determined by its quality which can be expressed in terms of the competence of teachers, the relevance of the curriculum, availability of teaching materials and necessary facilities. This book is intended to identify and examine the implementation of NFBE program in terms of curriculum development, competence of facilitators, supervision and support provided to the program and the participation of stakeholders in implementation.
