Produktbeschreibung
In general, agricultural waste disposal include dumping in bush, road side, water ways and burning. A new reuse of these wastes has to be established as the wastes, their ashes and gases are environmental burdens. The need of composite material for different engineering applications has motivated the need to find a cost effective production methods for aluminium composites. It is therefore envisaged that utilisation of agro-residue and aluminium scraps will provide alternative engineering materials and a source of income to farmers. This book provide procedure for the development of aluminium matrix composites with silica and alumina from agro waste as reinforcement. The agro waste were ashed at various temperatures of 500-900oC and yields up to 21.83wt% and 11.81wt% for RHA and BA respectively. The analysis shows appreciable quantity of combine silica and alumina contents of 98.23wt% and 88.24wt% at a temperature of 700oC. The ashes were added from 0-30vol% at interval of 5vol% which improves the density and the mechanical properties. The new material have range of properties presently used in automobile, aerospace and other aluminium industries and helpful for further research.
