The aim of this topic is to achieve the objective of describing Alzheimer's disease (AD) through research and a review of the scientific literature, as well as presenting methods that influence the patient's behaviour. This highlights the importance and need for memory rehabilitation, highlighting the need for considerable changes in behaviour and life patterns, so that the person can develop autonomy in their personal activities, recovering and taking an interest in trying to maintain a healthier life in their daily life. In this way, it is important to emphasise the treatment of this dementia, and it is also commendable for psychology students to know about it, as well as discussing its history and concept, addressing the possible treatments and interdisciplinary follow-up, the aspects of medication, the contribution of psychology and, fundamentally, the family or carer, with a view to the individual's quality of life.
