Lesa Boutin's career as a writer began with a passion for children's literature. In 2006, she established Boot in the Door Publications and published the YA novels, Amanda Noble, Zookeeper Extraordinaire, and Amanda Noble Special Agent, which was nominated for the Texas Lone Star Reading List. She is currently bringing the Amanda Noble series into the twenty-first century by revising and releasing it in ebook and audiobook formats. As a writer for Writers in the Schools in Houston, Lesa enjoys sharing her imagination and enthusiasm for storytelling with her students. For older audiences, she writes under the name Lesa Howard.
