At the end of each day, as we fall asleep, we can reflect on the places to which we have been. I find it exciting to go to new countries. At the end of each day, as we fall asleep, we can reflect on the places to which we have been. I find it exciting to go to new countries. Normally, I hire a car and set off by myself to meet the people in the villages and towns. I do not know these people, as we have never met before. I book into a hotel, have a meal and go to the local pub or bar. In this way I start to meet people who give me stories. They talk about their life and the area in which they live. They are invariably proud of their country and their regions. They tell me about their heroes and heroines. In particular, they talk about their own experiences. This is how I came to write Amazing Stories From The Streets. This book reflects people that I have met on my journeys. They all have fascinating stories to tell, which have not been told previously. To respect their privacy, I have not named who they are. In some cases, I did not talk to them. But through their behaviour, they gave me ideas for a story. I have captured my impressions of the characters and the culture of people from Australia, Argentina, Italy, Poland, Spain and many other countries. The stories are told in a similar way to that developed by Jacques Prevert, a great French poet of the streets, and also Walt Whitman, the American author. I have used my training as a psychologist to interpret meetings and events on my road of life. I have also imagined conversations with characters from history who can share their lessons in life. These stories can inspire you to record your impressions of what you see and hear. As a result, you may develop your skills of thinking and writing. Most importantly, you can improve your self-confidence in expressing what you feel about the people you meet on your streets of life. In doing so, you can learn more about yourself and how to make the best of your opportunities.
