This work is attributed to families of Ten Maharishis, who were instrumental in contributing to the curation of majority of the lineage. These include the hymns from each clan as well as the Samhitas, the Brahmanas, the Aryankas and the Upanishads. The author has deftly dealt with the most fascinating stories of these great Rishis, namely, Agastya, Grtsamada, Vishvamitra, Madhushchandhas, Vaishvamitra, Vamdeva, Gouthama, Atri, Bharadvaja, Vasishtha, Kanva, Angirasa, Kashyapa, and Veda Vyasa, who structured collection of 10 Mandalas with 1,028 hymns (Suktas) in about 10,600 verses. The compilations of these great Rishis are considered sacred and pious to this day and hold extreme importance in the Hindu culture. The importance of religion and goodwill is fundamental to these compilations, besides highlighting the significance of worship, sacrifices, and religious rituals.
