Reverend Lane (Feb. 12, 1935 to Sept. 14, 2010) was a Washington, DC-based anti-poverty activist, radio talk show personality and political and religious commentator. His program, "We Ourselves", aired from 1978 until his death on the Pacifica Foundation s WPFW-FM, a 50,000 watt station in the nation s capitol. He also hosted a similar show on XM 169 from March 2006 until July 26, 2007. The Knoxville, Tennessee native had a masters in social work from the University of Pittsburgh and once studied law.
