Chagas disease is a neglected zoonosis caused by the protozoan Trypanosoma cruzi. Médico veterinario, ha estudiado la tripanosomiasis bovina y bufalina en el Magdalena Medio Colombiano, y actualmente se dedica a estudiar la relación e interacciones parásito-hospedero, así como la eco-epidemiología de la Enfermedad de Chagas.
