Amherst is an Amtrak station in Amherst, Massachusetts on the Vermonter. It is located at 13 Railroad Street, off Main Street. The station was originally built in 1853 by the Central Vermont Railroad and was restored in 1992. The station building shares space with Amherst Pilates, a fitness studio. Of the eleven Amtrak stations in Massachusetts, Amherst was the eighth busiest in FY2010, boarding or detraining an average of approximately 40 passengers daily.
