The aim of the present work is to prepare and characterize Ammonium iodide doped polymer solid electrolyte films and their applications in the fabrication of Dye Sensitized Solar Cells (DSSCs). The three polymer electrolyte systems, viz. (1) Polyvinyl alcohol (PVA) doped with ammonium iodide (NH4I), (2) Polyvinyl pyrrolidone (PVP) doped with NH4I and (3) Polyethyl methacrylate (PEMA) doped with NH4I have been prepared, characterized and used in the fabrication of DSSCs in this investigation.
