Produktbeschreibung
Born Free and Running Wild Along the state line between Montana and Wyoming, in a landscape of high desert, rocky ridges, and semi-alpine slopes, live the Pryor Mountain Mustangs -- bands of wild horses descended from the original Spanish steeds brought over by the Conquistadores. These wild descendants of equine royalty browse, roam, fight, and mate as they always have. Drawn to the unspoiled glory of their existence, photographer Lynne Pomeranz spent two years among the Pryor Mountain Mustangs, watching their routines, observing their complex relationships, and capturing in photographs the very essence of their wildness. Her photographic journal tells a story of courage, resilience, and freedom that speaks eloquently to the human spirit. Witness the dramatic struggles between stallions as they vie for supremacy, the tender bonds between mares and their offspring, and the unlikely friendships that form among bachelors young and old. To experience even a small part of their world is to share a precious part of nature's nobility, still unaltered by human will."
