Jose Miguel Mejides Armas is a Cuban novelist, storyteller, and author of numerous short stories and novels such as: El jardin de las flores silvestres, Rumba Palace, Amor con cabeza extrana and, Perversiones en el Prado, amongst others. His work has been translated into several languages. Since the publication of his first volume of short stories, Tiempo de hombres, which won the David Prize of the Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba in 1977, he has not stopped publishing books and obtaining recognitions that make him one of the most relevant voices of the current Cuban narrative.
