Mary-Beth Mazzini aka as Liza Miles specializes in strong character driven story telling. From Cosy Mystery to Slice of Life short stories and a YA novel. She is currently working on a dual narrative standalone novel set in 7th century and 21st century Scotland.Her cosy series, Murder on Morrison, A Game of Murder, and Murder by Stealth are traditional mysteries with a modern twist. The books, set in Edinburgh, feature female sleuth Rose McLaren. Murder in Midwinter will be published in November 2022.Liza's other titles include Love Bites seven short stories about the good, the bad and the ugly sides of relationships. Her standalone YA novel My Life's not Funny won a People's Choice award in 2021.Writing under the pen name of Mary-Beth Mazzini in collaboration with illustrator and writer Melissa Royle-Guimaraes she is excited to be launching a series of beautifully illustrated title's for younger children. The first book, ABC of Thanks will be published in October on kindle, paperback and hardbackShe has contributed poems and prose to the 2020 lock down Anthology Stir Crazy, published by The Book Whisperers and the anthology Stories for Ukraine to raise money for the Ukrainian Humanitarian Appeal.She is a member of the Federation of Writers (Scotland) and the Scottish Writers' Centre.In 2017 Liza settled in Scotland, the home of her maternal ancestors, to concentrate on writing fiction. She has two daughters who are the light in her life and two cats who keep her company while she spends time writing, researching, and developing stories.
