Janice Russell is an author, teacher and life coach, and, by her own definition, a 'feisty old crone'. Her occupation now embraces writing, teaching, coaching and painting, while enjoying family time and following trails of curiousity. She is widely published professionally, taught Creative Writing for the University of East Anglia, and isauthor of several works on women ageing, notably the audio courses Rocking the Crone and Loving the Crone. She has three novels to her name. Keeping Abreast, a satirical yet passionate fiction/faction account of living the journey of breast cancer. Set in the 1990's in York, UK, themes are universal and remain relevant today. Entertaining and provocative. The Pigeon Fancier's Wife, is set in Middlesborough in the early 2000's, written in the voices of heterosexual couple Stan and Evie Ettington, both fed up and both about to embark on separate adventures in which they re -find themselves -and a whole lot more! Funny, moving, universal emotion and the perfect crime interweave. An Algarve Affair in 2013, is her third and last novel, set in the beautiful region of the Algarve.
