Captured by the very dragons they were sent to find, Karana and her Companions/fiancés are faced with unexpected relatives and the unbelievable opportunity to bring dragons back to Dawil after a thousand years. ********** Karana dreamed of dragons as a little girl. Her absolute favorite toys were her silver-painted wooden dragon and the golden (yellow) and amethyst (lavender) stuffed ones her Papa and her Uncle Andry had gotten her. Those and the three dolls who became their 'dragonkeepers.' But dragons had disappeared a thousand years in the past. She could never have imagined, as a child, that she would someday be soul-bonded to the last scion of the dragonkeepers of old... or to a man whom the Silver Dragon Goddess named 'Favored of Dragons.' Nor that she would actually get to meet a Golden and a Silver dragon. Sometimes childhood dreams really do come true... Though she never imagined the dragons would abduct her! *** This epic fantasy continues the Knightess of the Realm mini-series: The Secrets of Dragon Mountain. Explore the mysterious connections between Magick and Economics, Empire and Ethics, Love... and Dragons! ******** Teaser: Karana was lying still and breathing slowly, patiently letting the thicker air that the silver dragon was providing for her work its magick on her body. Kefen could feel the changes as she improved still more. "You are soul-bonded to her, nephew?" the strange woman said. "To both of them," he replied absently, not really paying attention. The woman snorted. "And she's carrying your child? This... may present some complications." Kefen tore his attention away from his loves - Karana was doing better and Ivan was watching over her. He had better pay attention to their surroundings for all three of them... and recall that they were there on a mission for King and Country. Or at least the Lord of Wave. "Just who are you?" he asked the woman as he looked at her more carefully. "In this time and this place I am known as Faulira, dragonkeeper for Wyllirse." She smiled affectionately up at the great creature, the softening of her expression entirely unfeigned. She focused her dark gaze on Kefen again, and he felt the weight of Wyllirse's dark topaz eyes on him as well. "But in an earlier time and place I was known as Laurifa Saralath, Ducal-Princess and Heir to Taridawil."

Autorenporträt
Mangala McNamara writes Romantic Fantasy her Chronicles of Ilseador and Prankster Prince series occur in the same world as the Knightess of the Realm stories.Mangala lives in Flyover Country (the far northern end of the US South) with her husband, The Professor and three of her six children (the remaining children are in college or grad school). You can blame the oldest kid for the excessive amounts of math showing up in Mangala's fantasy novels, the second one for better attention to staging of scenes, the third for all the economics, the fourth for great attention to history - and all six of them for a focus on political science! Mangala is a former professional bellydance instructor, and used to enjoy knitting, crotchet and embroidering Temari balls, but now is much more boring as she rarely does anything but write... although she also fences (the sport) and plays boardgames with her kids. She owes her love of books and reading to her mother, who was a professional folklorist and could recite - from memory - stories from every nation in the United Nations.
