Dr. Carole E. Scott is a retired professor of economics at the University of West Georgia (UWG). She has also been a journalist. Among her numerous academic and non-academic publications, many of which are concerned with various aspects of American history, are a personal finance textbook and a science fiction story in Analog (see goodreads.com/author/show/2867260.Carole_E_Scott). She founded and edited until 2018 a web journal in business and economics for the UWG Richards College of Business (see one of her historical articles at westga.edu/~bquest/2015/connected2015.pdf).
