There have been an increasing number of studies showing the difficulties of English tense and aspect system for foreign learners to grasp. For instance, it has been stated that tense system is problematic due to its complex nature. The study is an analytic, evaluative and empirical one which has been set into application for achieving the following goals; firstly, analyzing students' errors in tenses and aspects through finding out recurring errors made by students, secondly; identifying the types of errors, and thirdly and the last; diagnosing the sources behind each error. Thus, the study is said to be of quantitative and qualitative attribute as equal as far as the frequency and the types of errors are concerned.
