The study is to explore translation shifts in English translation 'Facts are Facts' of the Pashto text 'Rekhtya Rekhtya Di'. It touches upon different perspectives on translation, that is, cultural, philosophical, etc. The perspective from which the translation is analyzed is that of linguistic angle in nature. This study adopts qualitative paradigm of study, uses textual analysis as a strategy, close reading as technique for data collection and purposive sampling for the selection of samples. 'Rekhtya Rekhtya Di' is the source of data for the study. 'Rekhtya Rekhtya Di' (source text) and 'Facts are Facts' (target text) are studied in parallel while exploring and analyzing the shifts. The researcher has selected three chapters: (1) Ghandhijee's Letter to Jinnah (2) Sir George Cunningham's Diaries and (3) the Khaksar. Findings of the study demonstrate that shifts of various kinds are made in the target text 'Facts are Facts'. Moreover, it also provides rationale of the shifts.
