Victoria Stavlas is newly retired and resides by the ocean in Kure Beach North Carolina and Fort Lauderdale Florida. She has worked as a mental health therapist after receiving a Bachelor of Arts degree in both Social Work and English from Kent State University. She also completed a Master of Education at the University of Akron with a specialization in guidance and counseling. Victoria notes her loves for the ocean, reading, writing, and children for inspiring the book. The focus of which is the importance of a child's self-confidence and how to develop it. Anchor to Another Land is interwoven in a fairytale format for it to be both interesting and memorable as your family reads it. Her hope is to encourage children to develop good self-confidence.
